John Leggott College is the best-performing Sixth Form College in our region, and one of the Top-10 in the country. In fact, we are one of the very few colleges with Level 3 success rates higher than 90%.  Currently OFSTED Grade ‘2’ Good, with the ambition to achieve Outstanding, we are seeking someone with the drive, commitment and enthusiasm to lead our College in the next phase of its development.

The ideal candidate will be a senior leader in a Sixth Form College, a GFE College with a good understanding of 16-18 education, or a school with a significant sixth form. The role is broad enough to offer excellent career satisfaction to an existing Principal, whilst our College structures, networks and superb staff will ensure a successful Deputy Principal would step up readily to the challenge..

The vacancy arises with the appointment of our successful Principal, David Vasse, to lead another College. David leaves a thriving and growing College of around 2,000 students. The College has superb staff, is well equipped for teaching and learning, is in sound (and rapidly improving) financial health and has a national reputation. At the last OfSTED inspection the College was graded ‘Good’ and recent results have improved further.
